Rubber wiper modules

Not a refractory product. On steel-cord, wire-rope and copper or aluminium wire lines, these blocks wipe water, oil and dust off the wire as it runs, so the surface is clean and dry before coating or spooling.

02 / MATERIAL & PROCESS

Rubber wiper modules

Made by mastication, compounding and vulcanisation into a block that is elastic, wear-resistant and dimensionally stable across −50 to 150 °C.

Fitted to automatic lines for steel cord, stranded wire, wire rope, copper, aluminium and iron wire, where they replace felt or fabric wipers and improve the result of the drying stage that follows.

  • 01Keeps its elasticityRecovers quickly from deformation across the full service range.
  • 02Wear and chemical resistantLong life against wire abrasion and process fluids.
  • 03InsulatingRubber, like plastics, is an electrical insulator.
